Bustles

Bustling is a lifesaver for brides to make their dress more wearable at the reception. The most important thing for a bustle is to have a seamstress put it in. In heavy dresses the bustle can easily break and a seamstress can make the strongest bustle. There are also different types of bustling to choose from. Choose a bustle that will best fit the formality of the wedding and the style of your dress.

An under-bustle is when the train is pulled under the dress. This is the strongest type of bustle.

An over-bustle is attaching the train to the waist of the dress, usually with hooks and eyes. This bustle
can break easily but looks great with dresses that have a beaded train.

A French bustle is the most extravagant type of bustle and is best used for very formal weddings or larger ball gowns.
